After a long career in the Health Service, I decided to study Creative Textiles and Embroidery courses.  I have a background in stitch, my mother was a dressmaker, furrier and embroiderer, so I learnt  very traditional techniques from her.  An Aunt was a milner who did "fiddly things" according to my mother.  So now that I have progressed from tradtional into contemporary textiles.  I gain my inspiration from thre natural world and architecture.
